History
Marc Hammarlund graduated from Swarthmore College with a degree in English Literature.
After college, he worked in Washington, DC for Public Citizen and for U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur.
He received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Utah, where he trained in the lab of Erik Jorgensen.
He remained in Erik Jorgensen's lab as a postdoc, and then continued his post-doctoral training with Michael Bastiani.
While in Utah, he enjoyed climbing and trail running.
He moved to Yale in September 2008, where he is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics.
